Preliminary Task - Camera Skills

The advantages of using multi-camera and a tripod is that you will be able to get a better picture which involves the picture not moving because of the tripod which makes it a better quality of picture because it is not moving will the camera is still filming.

The advantages of using the multi-camera is that you are able to get a different persective of what is happening in the scene which makes it more effective for the viewers because they are able to see different shots for example if camera 1 had a close up to show the emotion of actor B face when camera 3 will be able to show the positioning of the actors and what they are going to be doing.

In conclusion it is much better to use milti camera becuase it gives the viewers a better dimension to the film or clip becuase gives out more information.

Preliminary task - Our Idea

We have been asked to create a production where two people meet each other and they have to walk through a door, sit down in a chair and you have to use the 180 degree rule. Throughout the course of completing this production I will be completing it with Michael Raucci who is the Director of this production.

Our Initial idea was that we are going to have one of the actors which mum has died and he has to go to a therapist to help him with his tragic loss. But when he goes to see the therapist and then when the therapy starts his mum appears in the seat of the therapist and he starts talking to her asking her questions about where she went and the big question was who killed her and then see starts mentioning someone name and when the boy walks up he realises something about the therapist.

Research - Editor Role

A film editor plays a vital role in the post-production process of film-making. Editors are skilled storytellers, charged with cutting hours and hours of shots together to create a cohesive story. Becoming a film editor typically requires considerable experience with editing software, as well as an excellent understanding of story and an ability to work in harmony with the film’s director to create a finished film.
